We're looking for a
Principal Embedded Software Engineer
who is curious and creative on our Space Software Engineering team in El Segundo, California.

Principal Software Engineer
for the Space Programs, you will apply technical concepts associated with software development and design for Object Oriented systems. You will also be will be involved with the planning, conduct, and coordination of software designs, software architecture, and documentation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Requirements management/development, software architecture and preliminary design Software development of data processing systems • Unit and module software test activities.
Must be a US Citizenship with an active/current Secret clearance.
Required Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills:
• Minimum 8+ progressive years of related technical team member contributor experience in large team software engineering development. • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field. • Minimum 8+ progressive years of experience in Embedded Object Oriented C/C++, Python. • Minimum 2+ progressive years of experience in Agile software development. • Minimum 2+ progressive years of experience with development in a cloud environment. • Minimum 6+ progressive years of experience full life-cycle software development, • Implementation, design and overall architecture. • Current DoD Secret or higher clearance on first day of employment.
Desired Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills:
• Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field. • Experience in Rhapsody Modeling. • Experience in Matlab • Experience with development on large ground stations. • Experience with micro-services architecture. • Experience with space command and control. • Engineering Experience with prototyping and writing code for a signal processing chain of an image. The image will be satellite based of the earth for Missile and Hypersonic detection • Engineers with experience working with Systems and HWEC as we will have FPGAs to integrate with • An understanding of False Alarm rates and probabilities of Detection • Algorithm and/or coding experience with any of the following: • Detection Processing: Noise Estimation, Thresholding • Tracking: 2D, MHT • Image Conditioning: Registration, NUC, Stacking, Clutter Identification
• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field
