Raytheon Technologies Mission Assurance Engineering Manager in El Segundo, California
Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Engineering Manager in El Segundo, CA.
The selected candidate will implement and manage a System Assurance System and specific customer quality flow down requirements throughout the lifecycle for the Resilient Navigation (R-NAV) family of programs.
Additionally they will create or tailor existing planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements to the R-NAV program teams and supply base.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure inspectability, testability and producibility are considered during the early development of the systems specification and flowdown to lower-level requirements.
Engage and lead in technical reviews and technical interchange meetings (TIMs) focused on the technical requirements traceability.
Lead Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and review and resolve systemic failure review and corrective action (FRACA) items.
Provide an integrated perspective of the program’s technical risk that considers criticality, system safety, reliability, test and evaluation criteria and adverse trend (Raytheon Technologies and Supplier(s)).
Review and approve the Engineering program documentation, including specifications, requirements, specification control drawings, altered item drawings, assembly drawings, test plans, procedures, instructions and standard operating processes prior to release for correctness to technical standards.
Assure the impact of advisories, such as supplier, Rapid Information Sharing and Alerts (RISA), Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) and customer advisories, are considered.
Have direct interface with program management, cross-functional program leadership, suppliers, customers and government representatives.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Secret Clearance within 1 year of start date.
8 years of related experience in Quality or Engineering in a development, production, test and sustainment (Depot) in a high-reliability environment
A working knowledge of Quality Management Systems IS09001 and AS9100, Configuration and Data Management, and implementation of internal and contractual quality requirements
A working knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102
A working knowledge of Special Test Equipment development, procurement, transition to production
The ability to lead, coach and mentor others in routine settings and difficult situations
Ability to collaborate with program cross-functional team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems
Working knowledge of Raytheon RCAS or a proven closed loop corrective action system
Working knowledge of material review and disposition of nonconforming material
Experience with Raytheon IPDS/gating or program phasing
Prior experience in leading or a member of risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation and capture
Strong Quality data extraction and analysis skills
Must possess a strong knowledge base and ability to perform quality assurance functional activities in support of programmatic, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test and post-delivery support
Practical knowledge of reliability and system safety requirements
Strong written/verbal presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Some local travel is required
Raytheon Technologies Specialist Certification or Six Sigma Greenbelt
Six Sigma Black Belt or Raytheon Expert Certification
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Bachelor of Art Degrees in an appropriate field of science (Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics)
Bachelor of Art Degree in Mathematics
