Citigroup Programme Manager in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Job Purpose: Responsible for planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. Also, defining and running the programme's governance arrangements as well as ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme. Job Background/context: The role is within the Citi Edinburgh Fund Accounting Change function, working on a complex system integration. The challenge is to integrate three system instances that cover 17 key business processes and with connections to 33 up /down-stream applications. The final step will be to migrate clients’ data and administration onto the destination instance. Key Responsibilities: Establishes short and long-term programme objectives and ensures team members understand expectations and meet them Defines, implements and runs appropriate governance structures Assigns tasks to team members to ensure project objectives are completed as required Drives and monitors overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate Reports on program's progress in regular meetings with stakeholders Coordinates the workstreams and their interdependencies between in the program Ensures that deliverables are aligned across the workstreams Knowledge/Experience: Strong project management experience in Financial Services, preferably fund accounting / Asset Management / Banking or Transfer Agency. Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management Knowledge of project management techniques and tools Proven experience in people leadership Proven experience in strategic planning Proven experience in risk management Knowledge of current Finance industry regulatory environment Skills: Technical Skills: Proficient in the use MS Project. Expert in Presentations and use of MS PowerPoint. Strong communicator able to liaise confidently with BAU supervisors, senior Citi Managers and client contacts. A confident decision-maker with the ability to weigh up all potential options prior to making decisions. Accuracy and completeness are essential to the success of each project, the team and the Edinburgh operation. People Skills: Proficient in People leadership & Emotional Intelligence Qualification in project management or equivalent preferred but not essential. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience. Development Value: This programme offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work on very large, complex initiative that would rarely be available outside a global bank. This is a truly international project, with key stakeholders in our Luxembourg, Dublin and Edinburgh offices, covering almost every aspect of what we do. There is also a very heavy technology aspect to the project, with over 30 up / drown stream applications also in scope. This is a rare opportunity to lead such a large, business critical project, working with very senior stakeholders.
