ABSC is seeking individuals at varying levels of experience to join our team of Information Technology Specialists in Edgewood, MD.These roles will directly support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) in the Business and Analytics, Engineering and Technology, and Information Technology (BEI) business area.JPEO-CBRND manages a dynamic and diverse portfolio of critical warfighting capabilities that require cohesive and innovative total life cycle systems management approaches to rapidly respond to the needs of the force balanced by affordable sustainment strategies.As an Information Technology Specialist, you will support the JE-OPETS program as an embedded help desk technician to implement and maintain all IT systems and provide daily customer support. These positions require an active Secret and/or Top-Secret clearance.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Implementation and maintenance of information technology and customer support, to include:
Secure (i.e., Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)) connections and laptops
Network or hardware/software challenges
Copiers, printers, telephones, and the mobile phone infrastructure
IT Equipment inventory
Audio/visual, video teleconference, and other telecommunications equipment
Meeting support to include desk side meetings and video teleconferences (VTCs) on both SIPR and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR).
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
Upgrade existing equipment, performing tasks such as installing updated circuit boards or additional memory.
Patch and remedy any computer that has an Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) within the given time-line from the Network Enterprise Center; on both NIPR and SIPR.
Experience Required for this Role:
Our Junior Information Technology Specialists require 2 years of relevant experience.
Our Mid-Level Information Technology Specialists require 4 years of relevant experience.
Possess a valid state Driver’s license.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
DOD 8570.01-Manual appendix 3 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II approved baseline certifications; for example, CompTIA Security+.
These positions require ITIL certifications and ABSC will support your training/prep and cover the cost of your certification exam:
Our Junior IT Specialists are required to have or be able to achieve the ITIL Foundation Certification within 6 months.
Our Mid-Level IT Specialists are required to have or be able to achieve the ITIL Intermediate Certification within 12 months.
