Seeking a VP of Health Benefit Accounts (HBA) product strategy. The VP of HBA product will work. To develop, define and execute the product strategy for the HBA business, this role will have responsibility to manage the overall product portfolio across the various HBA product suite (HSA, FSA, HRA, MSA, Cobra, Transportation)
The VP of Product has a deep understanding of the business strategy of HBA business along with the larger OFS and Optum Health business unit and translates market trends along with client and consumer needs into a product strategy that ensures that business growth and revenue goals are achieved.
This role is responsible for the strategic product management activities for the HBA product portfolio. This includes working closely with technology, growth office, operations, marketing, finance, and all other key stakeholders across Optum, and UHC
The role is responsible for strategic Product Management activities for the entire Optum OFS HBA product portfolio. The role reports to the Head of the HBA business.

Responsible for ensuring that the portfolio of solutions meets or exceeds revenue and market share goals
Development of CBAs to support and justify capital spend
Synthesizes competitive analysis and market assessments to drive the product strategy, prioritize investments, and establish go-to-market strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning
Clearly understands the competitive landscape - competitor strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses
Establishes a Strategic Roadmap for the portfolio, including New Product concepts, extensions of existing solutions, and M / A activities
Understands and documents macro / micro market trends and competitive threats to drive the Business capability’s strategy
Constantly collects and analyzes performance data (e.g., market, financial, and operational) in order to identify new opportunities for the business
Engages key clients for strategic discussions on market trend impact, current issues, and new product concepts
Support Sales for Key Client activities
Creation of a product culture across the enterprise including talent development, training, career pathing

5+ years of success of bringing products to market, leading teams, creating industry/market collaboration, expanding a P&L
Cross-functional knowledge (Product Development, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Strategy, M&A,)
Ability to not only see tasks through to completion, but to "identify" the tasks needed to move the business forward
5+ years of progressive business management career progression in B2B, Direct to Consumer product development, launch, and management
2+ years of project management and analytical experience
2+ years of business development or equivalent experience
Knowledge of HBA eco system and clear understanding of industry trends and market-leading strategies
Strong project management skills, including risk and contingency management, ability to manage competing demands and set priorities, and achieve deliverables
Experience working in and leading teams in a matrix organization
Strong leadership, management, communication and negotiation skills
Demonstrated experience in preparing senior-level presentations and reports
Strong analytical skills; has hands-on experience; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
Strong communicator; capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively
Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead toward common goals
3+ years of healthcare industry experience
Working knowledge of Optum & UnitedHealth Group
