The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Lab Technician performs in-vitro analysis of biologic specimens according to the procedures established for routine and specialized areas of the laboratory. The MLT/Lab Technician participates in the supportive functions of quality control, instrument operation, limited troubleshooting, teaching, and limited problem resolution.
**Schedule: Monday thru Friday shift can vary on daily basis based on location. 7am to 8 pm are the hours of the facilities this position will cover Includes a weekend shift 830-3pm S/S at the Lake Hallie Center - currently every 4th weekend. This will be a float position in the Chippewa Valley to include - Chippewa Falls, Lake Hallie, Bloomer, Oakwood, Menomonie.
EDUCATION ( For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.)
Required Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent (i.e. military-trained - Medical Lab Specialist certificate of training obtained prior to April 24, 1995).
Minimum Experience Required: Current knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment expected.
Preferred/Optional Experience: Previous laboratory experience is recommended. Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is beneficial.

Minimum Required: Certification or eligibility for certification by a nationally-recognized certifying agency.
