Plan for and instruct courses in the area of Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, and Paramedic Technician. Assignments may include EMT 1, EMT 2, and EMS refreshers.
Design and implement relevant and progressive curriculum.
Deliver high-quality instruction through the planning and implementation of effective learning strategies and environments.
Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies through formative and summative measures.
Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or associate's degree from an accredited college with an agreement to complete a bachelor’s degree within a predetermined amount of time after hire.
Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience as EMS personnel, of which at least 1 year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to date of hire. One year (2,000 hours) of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the applicant has at least 2 years of post−secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within 5 years prior to date of hire.
Current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians at the Paramedic level.
Current State of Wisconsin Paramedic license.
Current license/certificate as an Emergency Services Instructor I or EMS Instructor II as required by the Department of Health Services, issued by the State of Wisconsin.
Current Basic Life Support Instructor certification with the American Heart Association.
This position may include teaching online and requires expertise in integrating technology.
Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) standards, and/or other job specific licensing standards.

Hourly Pay Rate/Salary: Based on faculty salary schedule for 34/52-week contract: starting salary of $46,576 and midpoint of $60,521. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Hours per Week: Full-time, salaried position
Work Schedule: 34/52-week contract; will build workload (the equivalent of 34 weeks) over 52 weeks (July 1 – June 30). Schedule will vary each term and may include day, evening, and summer assignments outside of CVTC's traditional academic calendar at various locations.
