Join us as a Assistant Finance Analyst and you’ll be a big part of this.
This is a full time contract, Monday - Friday. At B&Q we have a hybrid approach to working to increase flexibility in when and where we work. For this role we are looking for someone to be able to work from our head office 2-3 days a week, with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week.
The Finance Apprentice will support the SSO finance teams throughout 3 or 4 varied roles across the various teams over a 3-year period, whilst simultaneously studying a professional finance qualification.
Learn across multiple finance areas including Operational, FP&A, Retail, Commercial and Cost efficiency
Develop key finance skills including statutory reporting, budgeting & forecasting and project appraisal
Achieve a professional finance qualification within three years
Develop key technical skills including strong Excel, PowerPoint & financial modelling
Gain a strong understanding of the business
Build key relationships across finance as well as relevant non-finance stakeholders
Drive improvements in the way we work, simplifying core processes & enhancing areas of development
Help to prepare presentations for senior management (internal & group boards)
Complete ad hoc performance analysis as required
Essential Technical / Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate ideally with relevant numerical degree
