Job Description and Responsibilities:

Put your talents to work at Coherent where you can create and innovate enabling technologies that will push the frontiers of science and technology.We are seeking a Shipping and Recieving Specialist (TEMP) in our East Granby, Connecticut, facility to handle Fiber Processing, and shipping of fiber and laser products. Shipping duties include but not limited to:

  • Processing orders for shipment

  • Creation of documents for shipment, including packing lists and waybills as well as regulatory documents such as Certificates of Origins and Customs Declarations

  • Interfacing with corporate credit and legal departments to clear order holds

  • Scheduling of shipment pickups

  • Use of master shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL)

    Education and Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial shipping systems

  • Experience with ERP (Oracle preferred)

  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs.

  • Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong communication skills across various levels of the organization
