Network Security Engineer
As the digital world grows, so does the need to keep all data secure. The Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations team is on the cutting edge of how we keep all our customers' information safe. We design and implement network and security technologies for organizations. As part of this team, you will help choose the right IT tools to maximize the effectiveness of deployed defenses and rapidly troubleshoot impacted systems.

What you’ll achieve
As a Network Security Engineer, you will be adaptable and fast-moving, with the ability to independently lead projects in addition to being responsible for daily activities that ensure the overall health of Dell’s network security infrastructure.
Support the security design, implementation, operations and integration of critical network security initiatives within Dell Technologies
Prepare and implement firewall and security device policies & changes
Provide technical support & troubleshoot issues with security devices across multiple regions and environments
Explore and implement new features and capabilities for firewalls
Provide on-call support and serve as subject matter expert for supported technologies
Deploy & maintain security solutions in multiple environments
Participate in security projects, customer engagements or business processes

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
Experience with firewalls: Checkpoint, Palo Alto or SonicWALL
Experience with Cisco routers and switches
Good understanding of scripting platforms & tools, including PowerShell, Python, etc.
Good understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, OSI Model, Routing & Switching, Firewall Policy & Configuration, IPS)
Experience with security processes and documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or technology field with 8+ years relevant experience; or equivalent work experience
Industry certifications relevant to the role such as CCNP/CCIE/CISSP
Understanding of logging mechanisms (e.g. Syslog, Splunk)
