This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Durham, North Carolina area and will be a full-time position. Managing accounts receivable, month-end closing, accounts payable, and reconciliation are important tasks in the Bookkeeper role. Apart from this, the Bookkeeper will maintain journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. Please apply right away!
Your responsibilities in this role
Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Organize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Uphold monthly accounting close
Work on special projects occasionally
Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation
Ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Knowledgeable with Accounts Receivable
Govern monthly accounting close
Keep Accounts Payable up to date
Update general ledger
Requirements
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong organization skills
- Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Lien Waivers experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Certified Payroll experience
Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
