The Software team seeks highly motivated technology pioneers with a desire to steer and lead perception algorithm development. Successful candidates must be able to work on challenging multi sensor perception problems enabling aircraft to perceive and react to the environment.

Education and/or Experience:
MS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
5 years of academic or industry background in computer vision and deep learning algorithm development for detection, tracking, visual odometry (VO) and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)
Experience working with and fusing data from a variety of sensors (IMU, cameras, Radar, etc.).
Experienced in building effective learning systems from the ground up with data collection, training, evaluation, and making of iterative improvements
Comfortable in driving results under uncertainty during the earlier stages of development
Ability to work independently as well as part of a high functioning team
Expert knowledge in deep learning frameworks and computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, CUDA, Matlab, Tensorflow
Expert knowledge at least one programming language with ability to write well designed and architected code
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak the English language
Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
Distinguishing Education and/or Experience:
PhD degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.
Experienced in optimizing algorithm performance for edge computing limitations
Experience in autonomous vehicle system development is a strong plus.
