Google Technical Program Manager, Engineering Compliance in Dublin, Ireland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in program management.

  • Experience advising on risk management, compliance, security, and privacy software to stakeholders and customers.

  • Experience managing vendors, contractors or suppliers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • GRCP, GRCA, CRISC, CISSP professional certification.

  • Experience with product on audits, risk and compliance. Experience in system auditing, financial processes and systems, in-house developed systems, software code reviews, system implementations and testing of IT general controls.

  • Experience with designing and managing large-scale and complex build, deployment tools, infrastructure, test environments, and test automation.

  • Understanding of NIST CSF, ISO27001 standards and its role on Governance, Risk, and Compliance.

  • Excellent program management skills (planning, execution, estimation, risk management, stakeholder management).

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

The Engineering Compliance team in Google Cloud is focused on helping Cloud and the rest of Alphabet product areas meet their Risk and Compliance requirements for the infrastructure, systems, tools, products and applications they create and manage. We do this by providing a core audit and compliance platform that automatically minimizes costs of operations. By automating the processes involved and leveraging predictive capabilities, we aim to make it easier for each Product Area to achieve compliance. We also provide continuous testing and delivery with built in security to maximize productivity for our users.

  • Drive audits to ensure compliance with all data security-related regulations and certifications in Engineering Compliance.

  • Develop and execute compliance plans, and work cross-functionally to maintain trust and security objectives, including maintaining evidence of compliance.

  • Create and update governance policies to reduce enterprise risks around data security practices.

  • Enhance organization-wide governance and risk approach that enables and aligns to business priorities and is supported by concrete policy documentation, risk processes, training, and metric measurement.

  • Enhance and maintain Security risk assessment methodology, assessment templates, and supporting procedure activities.
