Microsoft Corporation Statutory Controller in Dublin, Ireland
The EMEA Operations Centre (EOC) Finance team is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic finance professional to join our Statutory Controllership function. This team is focused on statutory governance for Microsoft’s Irish entities as well as leading key strategic projects and initiatives from a statutory and legal entity perspective. This position will lead statutory compliance and oversight for a number of Microsoft Ireland entities.
This role requires a high degree of collaboration and will partner closely with our Corporate Accounting and Limited Risk Distributor Accounting teams as well as other global Finance groups. The successful candidate will be a team player and demonstrate proactivity, collaboration and a growth mindset.
Lead Statutory Controllership oversight, including financial statements, external audit and monthly close process for Ireland Entities.
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and support strategic projects.
Support Finance team and wider Microsoft team on training and education related to areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with diverse stakeholder group across geographies and businesses within Microsoft.
This role and the core responsibilities are supported by our OneFinance model to ensure efficiency and standardisation aswell automation to stream line process to allow the FTE to scale.
Profile & Skills Desired:
Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience/practice or industry
Experience working with outsource providers.
SAP experience an advantage.
Experience with statutory financial statements tools an advantage and Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
Strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills.
Must be committed to continuous process improvement and have demonstrated a record of achievement in driving improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Excellent problem solving, decision making, project management, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong, mature presence to ensure effective communication and partnership key stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, anticipate and react to frequently changing business environment
