RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Lead team of circa 15 staff, including two supervisors, with varied responsibility across Europe, MEA, LATAM and LAPAC (Distributor and direct markets) [ OUS = Outside U.S.]

  • Separate Areas of responsibility / sub teams include

  • Collections for OUS excluding Australia, New Zealand and Japan

  • Credit Risk World Wide

  • Cash Applications OUS excluding Australia, New Zealand and Japan

  • Oversee day to day team workload while demonstrating a strong partnership with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Accounting and External Customers

  • Receivables Collection across these markets totaling circa $450m annually and growing

  • Cash Application across ledgers approaching $1.4bn

  • Meeting agreed targets and KPI’s across the Teams, while helping to develop and further these areas as needed

  • Month-end close, reporting, cash forecasting, bad debt provision, letter of credits & stakeholder relationship management

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for SOX, Internal Audit & External Audits

  • Personal development and performance management of the team, completing Year End and mid-Year reviews, setting goals and objectives

  • Expected to be a positive contributor and member of the Management Team

  • Meet with C-Suite / ELT level and other visitors, representing the SSC if required

  • Work with the SSC Management team to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovative solutions

  • Migrate functions from new markets, acquisitions or countries as required

  • Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed such as ERP upgrades, new software rollouts etc

  • Infrequent travel availability for projects and meetings, mainly in Europe though US a possibility

QUALIFICATIONS

What are we looking for?

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

  • 5+ years’ experience managing an AR Function in a SOX & multinational environment

  • Proven strong experience in team performance, strategy and management and meeting KPI’s and targets

  • History of driving efficiencies & process change

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate the team

  • Experienced in assisting or managing large AR related projects

  • Experience of relationship building across multiple stakeholders

  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working in a diverse and fast-growing environment

  • Finance and / or project management qualification desirable

  • Advanced Excel Skills an advantage along with analytical skills and reporting experience

  • Language : Fluent English – European language an advantage but not necessary
