Manage the legal, contract and procurement activities for all of Parsons' operations in the Middle East and Africa (the 'Region'), assess risks, review and negotiate all types of agreements, support all projects and internal departments on as needed basis. Constitute an integral part of the Ethics and Compliance team. Play an active role in providing quality contracts, procurement and in-house legal services across the Region and beyond.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare contractual and commercial risk assessment for requests for proposal and provide support during the pre-tendering stage.
Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
Review and draft internal policies/procedures and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
Advise on and ensure that internal company processes, procedures and corporate governance are complied with.
Prepare and review contractors and consultants tenders packages, clarifications and tender addendums.
Provide support to the company management and other employees and act as an instrumental member of the Regions senior management.
Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions related to countries the company already operates in as well as new jurisdictions and growth markets.
Identify areas for improvement in existing contracting processes, revise existing procedures and/or templates or draft new ones.
Liaise with authorities, clients, law firms, auditors, and other third parties
Conduct ethics investigations and prepare related notes and reports. Coordinate with the Ethics team in relation to all ethic cases reported in the Region.
Manage the licenses issuance and renewal and ensure compliance with government requirements
Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate, including managing the Legal, contract and procurement team.

Required Education/ Experience/ Skills/ Competencies and Technical Knowledge:
Degree in Law
10+ years of experience, min 3-5 years in GCC and/or international engineering and construction firm
Organized, motivated, committed, works well under stress and willing to travel.
Computer skills: MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and Internet Explorer
Possess strong written and oral communication skills in English; Arabic language is a major advantage.
