Robert Half International Staff Accountant in DFW, Texas

Description Robert Half Finance is offering a full-time position for a skilled Staff Accountant to join their dynamic, rapidly-growing team in the Manufacturing industry. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Dfw, Texas area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.

How you will make an impact

  • Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

  • Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

  • Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

  • Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

  • Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

  • In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable Requirements - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Strong attention to detail

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
