To guide management in the application of learning solutions which assure training interventions are organizationally justified and are developed and delivered with the most appropriate elements of course design and presentation method.
Serve as a lead individual contributor within the site QC Shared Services organization, and a key training resource to the overall Quality Control department.
Collaborate with functional area representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to develop and implement key learning strategies and programs in support of site-wide, network, and functionally-driven projects.
Manage projects and training initiatives, which directly support the site, to effectively implement strategic business objectives in driving quality, compliance, and effectiveness.
Lead the design of appropriate training and development delivery methods, the design of implementation plans, and the measurement of training effectiveness.
Develop, implement, and own new employee training strategies/plans such as Door-to-Floor and Pipette Qualification, maintaining compliance and ensuring appropriate content.
Deliver GMP/Technical training (e.g., core lab techniques, QC lab electronic systems) up to 25% of time.
Provide training guidance, expertise, and consulting to functional managers and SMEs in the assessment of training needs. Lead efforts for developing and sustaining QC curricula.
Use consistent and best-practice training methods, ensuring compliance with both FDA and BMS requirements.
Provide "train the trainer" support (design, facilitation, consultation).
Acts as a liaison with the training department and develops relationships with the site to recommend appropriate training courses, curricula, and delivery.
Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend changes in program content or methods, impact to audience, and presentation methods.
Minimum BS degree with 3+ years relevant life-science industry experience (pharmaceutical/biologics) preferably in a QC environment.
Knowledge of biologics laboratory settings, GMPs, and support disciplines and the basic principles of each. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and technical training requirements and associated processes.
Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design and a variety of learning methodologies preferred.
Experience with instructional and curriculum design, facilitating and developing instructor led courses and eLearning implementation.
Experience in developing, delivering and assessing training in both individual and classroom settings.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Success Factors, Saba, ISOTrain, etc.).
Ability to work collaboratively with all employees at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and eLearning Tools.
Project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to perform well in a team-based environment.
Experience determining objectives of significant projects or assignments.
