PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Tax Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of various tax planning strategies for the company, including consultation on a range of federal, international, and state and local tax issues.
ATTRIBUTES OF PROFESSIONALS IN THIS ROLE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Assist with the preparation of tax memos to support various income tax positions
Monitor US and Canadian income tax legislative and regulative developments and asses potential tax impacts
Assist with the implementation, design, revision, and optimization of tax provision related processes and tools
Assist with income tax audit requests
Perform tax research and prepare tax memoranda to document tax analyses and conclusions primarily related to income tax
Respond to tax notices from various jurisdictions
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred
CPA or Juris Doctorate degree
3 – 7 of relevant professional experience
Experience with S Corps and consolidated C tax laws
