Aerotek Welder in Des Moines, Iowa


  • Responsible for setting up weld machines, fixtures, and welding parts to blueprint specifications. Looking to hire MiG and TiG welders to fabricate a large variety of parts and equipment for various industries. (Agricultural components, hydraulic reservoirs, stainless tanks, mechanical components, etc.)

Skills Preferred

  • Basic skill in a welding process (MIG and/or TIG)

  • Utilize basic measuring instruments and weld gages

  • Basic understanding of weld specifications and be able to read and interpret

Duties and Knowledge :

  • Produce welded components with the assistance of lead workers to provide guidance on prints, weld settings and area set-up

  • Repeatedly weld parts to meet customer prints and specifications

  • Perform preventive maintenance on weld machines and equipment

  • Utilize basic measuring instruments and gages to perform necessary measurements accurately

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience or education/certification

  • Blueprint experience is a plus

  • Welding degree is a plus

  • Experience with Stainless is a plus
