Principal Sr. Communications Specialist - Public Relations in Des Moines, Iowa
As a Sr. Communication Specialist on our Public Relations team, you’ll serve the needs of business and enterprise partners by supporting the strategic development production, and distribution of a variety of communications that enhance brand messaging, tell a Principal story, and support high-level enterprise strategy and business objectives.
Other things you’ll do:
Write and edit a variety of communications materials including talking points, media releases and pitches, social media posts, byline articles, and presentations on industry and Principal-specific topics for external audiences.
Ability to translate key business priorities and concepts and research into newsworthy stories.
Well-developed-skills in building and maintaining traditional and digital media relationships including national and trade media.
Experience with issues/reputation management
We’re looking for someone with:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years related Public Relations experience.
Experience in media relations, corporate public relations or agency experience preferred. Asset Management industry experience is a plus.
Experience writing and editing all forms for a variety of audiences, including for social and digital platforms.
Adaptable, flexible and able to handle changing priorities.
Demonstrated project management and organizational capabilities with the ability to meet deadlines.
Experience working in variety of content production, and publishing programs.
Presentation, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
