Frontdoor Vice President Security Engineering in Denver, Colorado

Position Overview

Leads and develops strategies, policies and procedures to identify, assess, implement, monitor, report, escalate and remediate infrastructure compliance-related programs and issues. Coordinates the Engineering component of both internal and external audits. Directs teams while providing oversight to compliance activities (such as in the development and maintenance of local and federal regulatory documentation like Sarbanes-Oxley) across functional areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing strategic direction and for managing the product development compliance, consisting of one or more highly complex initiatives

  • Zero trust roll out and adoption

  • Significantly index on automation of Observability and Governance across product and process areas

  • Leads, develops and maintains technology policies, processes, procedures and key metrics related to all internal and external Regulatory and Compliance matters (such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and software licensing audits), SoC compliance

  • Handle security escalations at various levels

  • Leads cross-functional teams in performing audits and tests of internal controls to ensure that existing products are operating as designed, adequate controls are enforced and the proper evidence is maintained

  • Plan and oversee with the security team tabletop exercises

  • Understands various security alert channels and has set up process to quickly provide system remediations

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science and 10 -15 years of software development and management work experience including 5 years of Security and Infrastructure compliance management experience and 5 years of security leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required.

  • Manage PCI, SOX and SOC certifications

  • Understand and update and implement global data privacy rules and regulations

  • Conduct security due diligence on potential acquisition targets

  • Ability to manage large-scale, continuous improvement programs

  • Strong writing skills and communication skills

  • Hire, mentor and lead highly skilled security experts and developers

  • Demonstrated ability as an effective leader and change agent

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make effective and timely decisions

  • Budget management and Performance management of all security functions

The incoming salary for this role is $225000 for the minimum level of experience outlined in the requirements for this role; however, the salary we ultimately offer will typically increase commensurate with experience.
