Tech Data Corporation The Director, Risk Assessment, Monitoring And Data Analytics in Denver, Colorado

Job Purpose:The Director, Risk Assessment, Monitoring and Data Analytics isresponsible for developing and implementing a global risk assessment,monitoring, and data analytics framework to mitigate risks and comply withexternal laws, regulations and Tech Data's guidelines and policies. Thisrole is also responsible for identifying potential areas of vulnerability andrisk by applying advanced data analytics techniques and for developing andimplementing associated risk mitigation and monitoring programs in cooperationwith the broader Ethics and Compliance team, as well as other departmentsglobally. The role reports to the VP, Global Compliance.Responsibilities:Developing a global framework for risk assessment to bring structure andoperational excellence on a global level, to ensure consistency,simplification and automation. (15%)Leading assessment and understanding of company risks, industry-wide risksand driving risk and compliance assessments and monitoring of company businesspractices using data analytics tools and methods. (15%)Building the risk assessment and data analytics function. (15%)Partnering in strategy and operations aspect of managing misconduct andvarious risks through a combination of data analysis, model development andimplementation, reporting and data management. (10%)Drafting clear and concise reports for all levels of management and otherstakeholders; preparing presentations and present to senior management onthe risk assessment and monitoring strategy and findings; and determiningcorrective actions and recommendations for business executives and seniormanagement. (5%)Supervising the identification of potential areas of compliance vulnerabilityand risk and developing and implementing associated risk mitigation andmonitoring programs. Apply advanced data analytics techniques to detectindications or irregularities. (10%)Overseeing and managing detailed analyses, determining scope of riskassessments, defining next steps, action points, analyzing data, andpreparing risk assessment plans, reports and remediation steps. (10%)Assist in preparation for external inquiries and audits or internal reviews ofsystems and processes. (5%)Collaborating with other corporate functions, such as the Internal AuditDepartment, Corporate Security, Legal Department, Enterprise RiskManagement, Human Resources, and other business units to direct andconduct data analysis on identified transactions/transaction types todetermine themes and identify risk areas, root and contributing causes andmakes recommendations to correct and prevent recurrence, making decisionswith wider corporate impact. (5%)Designing best-in-class analytics solutions to broader Ethics and Complianceactivities and other corporate functions across lines of business andgeographies within the organization to improve process efficiency andeffectiveness. (10%)Knowledge, Skills and Experience:8 to 10 Years of relevant work experience.1 to 3 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees.Master's / Postgraduate Degree with Science, Computer Science,Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or otherfield of study Field of Study preferred.Bachelor's Degree with other relevant field of study required.Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.Able to converse and write effectively in English and local language.Able to create and conduct formal presentations.Able to interact effectively with all levels of managementAble to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and closetransactions with mutually beneficial results.Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create newideas, and be assertive.Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks tocompletion.Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with highworkloads and deadlines.Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standa
