# of Openings:1The OpportunityUlteig is currently seeking talented and motivated Senior Utility Scale SolarEngineering candidates to support design of utility scale solar projectsnationwide from our Denver CO office OR remote locations will be considered.This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our RenewablesLifeline Sector.What You'll DoDevelop Solar PV design packages including solar array layouts, electricalone-lines, collection systems, and equipment mounting details for utilityscale Solar PV systems.Draft and reviews energy yield calculations using tools such as PVSYSTPerform electrical power system studies to support project designs.Support development and early-stage projects with conceptual designs andmaterial take-offs.Take engineering lead on solar-specific projects to include bid development,contract review, progress tracking, interdepartmental coordination andclient communications.Use Excel spreadsheets, commercial and proprietary engineering software todesign Solar PV systemsLead site visits to gather notes and take pictures of existing conditions toaid in design.Review site visit details to determine interconnection requirements andidentify potential issues.Work with project teams to provide technical assistance and design servicesfor proposals including putting together Solar PV module layouts using AutoCADshowing module location, shading buffer, fencing, etc.Contribute to continual development of internal solar engineering standards,toolsets and work processes.Turning initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPCdesigns.What We Expect from YouBachelor's Degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred)from an accredited program.PE registration required or ability to obtain licensure within 1 yearpreferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience preferred, with detailed design,project development, project management, or renewable energy experience aplus.Experience with ETAP, PSS/E, CYMCAP and cdegs preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonalskills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complexinformation to all levels of employees, management, and clients.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.Due to the dynamic nature of the renewable energy market, the ability tolearn, understand, and apply new technologies is a must.Experience with estimating or designing electrical systems is preferred, asis knowledge of and competence in PVSyst. Knowledge of photovoltaic systems,NEC requirements, and construction practices is preferred.The position requires the ability to effectively multi-task and managenumerous projects/tasks simultaneously, frequently within aggressive andcompressed schedule.The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressureenvironment is crucial.Ability to maintain project schedule and achieve target due dates.Must have the ability to work permanently in the US.What You Can Expect from UlteigFor 75 years, we've built a culture focused on people - both our clientsand our employees.
