Your role is essential to the procurement and sales processbecause you will capture a deal's nuances in order to meet Esri's businessneeds and sales goals. You will exercise your negotiation skills to buildrelationships, mitigate risk, and protect Esri's intellectual property.As a self-starter, you will seek to effectively prioritize assignments andissues to drive resolution, growth, and process improvement. You will workwith a team of highly skilled contracts negotiators and attorneys to supportthe customer-focused Esri philosophy and promote the adoption of ArcGIS.ResponsibilitiesNegotiate complex software and cloud services agreements with large,multinational customers, state and local government customers, and federalagenciesRespond to contract work requests promptly and provide quality,customer-focused support to internal/external customers and suppliersCollaborate with Esri's sales, procurement, marketing, productmanagement, and development teams to ensure contract terms are consistentwith Esri's business, financial, and risk management objectivesConsistently anticipate and guard against potential contractual risks andpropose mitigation strategiesIdentify opportunities to streamline negotiations and educate customers,suppliers, and colleaguesMaintain high ethical standards in every aspect of the position and complywith company policy, laws, and regulationsRequirementsExperience negotiating and drafting agreementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented, well organized, analytical, quick learnerAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial,fast-paced environmentDiligent and proactive with sound business judgment and strategic thinkingAbility to manage a significant volume of agreements in a timely mannerExcellent Microsoft Office and computer skillsLLM or JD, or bachelor's in business, contracts administration, legalstudies, economics, or a related field plus 3 years of related experienceRecommended QualificationsExperience negotiating technology and services agreementsFamiliarity with federal government contracts and the Federal AcquisitionRegulations (FAR)Exposure to international contracting, distribution agreements, andpartner agreementsApttus or Salesforce experienceThe CompanyOur passion for improving quality of life through geography is at the heart ofeverything we do.
