div spanJob Summary:/spanUnder the general direction of the Director/Manager of Plant Operations, or their liaison, the utility person duties and responsibilities, in day-to-day and or emergent situations, require independent judgment and initiative based on general knowledge of the trades.spanPrimary Job Duties:/spanThe following description of job responsibilities and standards are intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but are not intended to describe the duties or other responsibilities that will be assigned as deemed necessary.span/spanBasic maintenance, assembling, installing, fire-stopping, performing the building maintenance program inspection and repairs as scheduled and as needed, and repairing of the Hospital's property and systems in a safe, responsible and efficient manner. It will be considered part of the position for the Utility person to assist the trade workers when needed or when requested by the Director or the designated Supervisor of Plant Operations (Senior Staff).span /spanSnow removal and salting is also considered part of the job duties of a Utility person. Assists in maintaining clean entrances and parking lots when necessary.span /spanResponsible for installing and maintaining dust barrier when performing job duties.span /spanul type="disc"lispanMoving furniture, desks, file cabinets, etc./span lispanBed repair/span lispanInstallation of wall decor, clocks, bulletin boards, etc./span lispanCeiling tile replacement and repair/span lispanTV replacement, installation and repair/span lispanFlooring and cove base replacement and repair/span lispanMinor repairs to carts, drawers, desks and chairs/span lispanAssist other trades/span lispanRespond to assist in emergency situations/span lispanSnow removal as needed to assist labor on entryways and sidewalks/span/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/li/ulMust fill out completed work orders and/or daily time sheets and turn them in on a daily basis.span /spanMonitors and maintains required supplies and tools in a neat and orderly fashion insuring that proper inventory is maintained, tools are functioning properly and readily accessible and that the workroduction areas are in a clean and neat manner as evidenced by management or regulatory observation. Notify management of needed supplies in a timely manner by filling out material request forms.spanMinimum Job Qualifications:/spanspan/spanspanEducation: /spanHigh School Diploma or equivalent. spanExperience: /span2 years of documented general maintenance experience in a 50,000 square foot commercial, Industrial or institutional facility. Ability to demonstrate skills to maintain, install, assemble and repair: general building and grounds equipment, building architectural surfaces and campus grounds while safely utilizing general hand and power tools of the trade.spanLicensure: /spanPossession of a State of Michigan Driver's License with a good driving record.spanSkills Abilities:/spanol type="1"li value="1"spanGeneral knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools and equipment of the trade. /spanlispanCustomer focused and self-motivated with good problem solving abilities./span lispanDemonstrates ability to accomplish to day-to-day and/or emergent
