Assists with executing department strategies geared to increase associate engagement and reduce organizational cost. Develop and execute communication plans related to wellbeing strategies including policy and program changes.bull; Develop benefit processes and procedures for Benefits Specialists and Benefit Clerks. Travel to assigned facilities as necessary to train Benefit Clerks, audit the processesrocedures and to ensure compliance and consistency.bull; Monitors and analyzes legislative and regulatory actions that may impact benefit plans to develop recommendations as appropriate.bull; Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements for retirement and health and welfare plans (i.e. ERISA, 8955 filing, etc.).bull; Acts as internal consultant to associates addressing their sensitive issues as related to leave of absence, workplace injuries, and disabilities.bull; Administer and coordinate benefit related programs including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, STD, LTD, COBRA, etc.bull; Administer and coordinate the processing of short-term disability benefits and leave programs. bull; Recommends and provides rationale for benefit plan design changes and/or changes to benefit policies and procedures.bull; Support those enrolled in the benefit plans by resolving claim issues. Educate associates of their benefit options and eligibility through new hire orientation.bull; Drafts plan documentation (e.g. summary plan description, plan amendments, summaries of material modifications, etc.) in accordance with legal requirements for review, approval and appropriate distribution.bull; Leads all aspects of the annual benefits open enrollment project, including the development of content materials. Conducts training as necessary. Programs and projects are executed on time and with excellence.
