What you will be able to do
In this role you will work with High Voltage Battery Controller Engineers in the development of next generation hardware requirements for electronic control modules used in the electrified powertrain. You will:
Battery electronics sensing and reference design development
Benchmarking battery electronics at vehicle, systems and components levels
Battery control hardware design architectures
Data sampling/filter design for current sensor, BPSM data (cell/PACKV) and coil currents
Implementation and testing of low noise instrumentation circuits
Complete circuit design with Op-amp, logic gate and MOSFET driver
Battery Monitoring IC (BMIC) technology communication interface
Discrete coil driver implementation to handle automotive faults
Isolation detection topologies, strategies and processing – local or remote
Data isolator circuit implementation
Low voltage board layout
Analog to digital converter implementation for BECM measurements
Sensor interface to micro (including hall effect devices)
Implementation of 32 bit micro into automotive module
Controller networking architectures and hardware
ISO26262 for BECM and BPSM interface, application to Low Level Drivers
Support for micro/companion chip architecture for next gen combo power module
The minimum requirements we seek
Bachelor’s in Engineering
3+ years of experience with circuit design
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
1+ years of electronic manufacturing experience a plus
1+ years of automotive product design and/or vehicle electrification a plus
1+ years of work experience with automotive EMC a plus
1+ year of experience in circuit simulation
ISO26262 (Functional Safety) and DFMEA knowledge a plus
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
