Position Location ? 2121 American Blvd De Pere, WI 54115. Partially working remotely is also an option after training is completed.
Reporting Relationship ? Reports directly to the Logistics Manager for Spill Control.
Job Overview ? This role is responsible for supporting the Logistics Manager with organizing shipments in and out of NPS, including international shipments. Collaborates extensively with Customer Service, Warehouse Managers, Sourcing Managers, and Suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product to customers and NPS facilities.
Plans outbound and inbound shipments, including transfer orders, U.S. shipments and international ocean shipments for NPS Spill Control.
Collaborates with stakeholders and communicates relevant information about shipments.
Manages through operational failures of carriers and provides options for a successful delivery of shipment.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for operational improvements.
Manages transportation costs to minimize transportation spending while providing on time performance, including freight payment exception management.
Manages carrier assignments, tenders, tracks and traces activities to execute on-time deliveries, including contract and dedicated lanes.
Requirements for Success
Basic/Intermediate skillset in Excel and Outlook
Attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, consistently meeting deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
Comfortable working with an online Transportation Management System (TMS)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills; written and verbal
Manage several priorities simultaneously and prioritize workflow based on the department?s priorities and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and can create improved efficiency.
Ability to work with multiple computer screens
Education and experience:
Associates or Bachelor?s Degree in Business or related field.
Experience in transportation industry preferred but is not required.
