Position Location - Office will be located at 2121 American Blvd De Pere, WI 54115
Reporting Relationship- Reports directly to the Sr. VP of Global Operations for Spill Control
Job Overview - This critical role is responsible for buying, selling, and managing the flow of products as well as negotiating contracts and evaluating suppliers. The ideal candidate has a combination of leadership skills, product knowledge, industry savvy and prior experience overseeing the daily workflow, budget, and schedules of the purchasing department.
Manage purchasing processes to achieve organizational objectives and goals.
Develop specifications and select qualified vendors to source components and/or finished goods from vendors.
Determine the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality.
Negotiate pricing and supply contracts with vendors.
Manage vendor master data
Identify and implement cost savings strategies.
Manage all inventory management processes that record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
Ensure optimal stock levels of inventory are maintained by anticipating inventory shortages or excessive surpluses.
Manage disposition plan of materials including RMAs.
Manage cycle count process/reconciliation and physical inventory integrity.
Be an active and energetic participant in a ?hands-on? work environment and lead the team by setting both the pace and example on a daily basis.
Bachelor's degree is preferred with three years of proven work experience
Previous experience managing a budget and negotiating bids and contracts
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and strong attention to detail
Solid ability to meet all deadlines in an organized and timely manner
Ability to travel up to 10% for vendor visits, including possible overseas trips
Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively and coach train others
Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments, vendors and customers
Proven successful time and priority management skills
Experience with purchasing modules within an ERP system.
Experience with Netsuite preferred.
