Lamark Media Project Manager in Dayton, Ohio

We are currently seeking a Project Manager (PM) who works in seamless coordination with our Operations and Client Experience teams to bring our specialists (strategy, search, social, creative, interactive) together to do amazing work for our clients. Primarily responsible for driving the details and managing the resources for both traditional and digital projects, the PM is focused on ensuring that client work is delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.

The PM works with the Client Experience Executive and/or Group Director to be the pacesetter who removes obstacles, with a keen ability to schedule, align, and manage the time of different tasks of a project, while being responsive to the dynamics of the project (such as the delayed fulfillment of tasks). 75-90 percent of the time in this role is spent formally or informally communicating.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management (90%)

  • Direct timelines and project deliverables for assigned designated book of business

  • Provide key insight and direction to drive the quality and performance of the project and client portfolio supported

  • Manage project and client profitability throughout the course of an engagement

  • Manage tactical initiatives for the client's business; maintain a focus on the short-term deliverables, concurrent with a firm understanding of client's long-term goals.

  • Communicate regularly with client on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, competitive intelligence analysis and other follow-up items.

  • Coordinate client/agency team meetings, including project kick-off meetings and periodic update meetings with the client

  • Collaborate with Client Experience Executive to submit proposals, suggested concepts, and estimated budgets to client for approval

  • Coordinate and participate in all internal client-related meetings, keeping on top of client's projects and current status; responsible for related internal follow-up

  • Work closely with internal departments to monitor and direct as necessary the day-to-day project flow; provide clear and timely direction to all other agency departments: team meetings, creative briefs, task/status reports, planning documents, or similar communication vehicles

  • Conduct competitive intelligence research

  • Support billing and financial reconciliation activities, including monthly revenue recognition and projection

  • Maintain internal client files on company network and update information sharing archive

    Account Development (5%)

  • Understand what motivates your client personally, professionally, and institutionally

  • Own client relationships, work to contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day campaign tactics and drive the strategic communications roadmap for clients

  • Develop annual account plans and work with team to deliver those plans

  • In combination with others, consistently cultivate a portfolio of new business efforts

  • Educate client on new offerings and trends that could impact their business

  • Think DIFFERENTLY about how to give our client’s a competitive advantage

    Personal Development (5%)

  • Actively participate in agency learning and development activities

  • Complete and regularly review professional development plan with manager


  • Experience level: 2+ years

  • Previous agency experience

  • Strong analytical skill set

  • Great communicator

  • A proven understanding of the planning, creative and production processes across multiple types of work that Lamark produces, such as:

  • Brand strategy & creative development

  • Digital marketing

  • Search marketing

  • Social media

  • Programmatic media

  • Connected TV

  • Email and marketing automation

  • Website and other interactive projects

  • Organized, reliable, responsible, and extremely detail-oriented and possessing a problem-solver mindset

  • The drive to coordinate and traffic a variety of projects that transcend the various roles within the agency (strategic, creative, technical)

  • Able to work in a fun, yet professional, fast-paced, and team-oriented work environment

  • Able to work with multiple interruptions under tight deadlines while maintaining a sense of calm and humor

  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and manage multiple projects at once

  • Highly collaborative and able to work with a wide range of personalities

  • Proven experience with any project management software, with willingness to learn Lamark’s system and related programs

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or G-sheet skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
