Geisinger Health System Laboratory Client Services Representative in Danville, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Responsible for basic problem solving and communication with internal and external customers in order to provide prompt, accurate, friendly and quality service. Utilizes appropriate computer systems to document calls, dispatch couriers, accession laboratory specimens, and provide information to all customers.

Job Duties

  • Receives client calls for results and notification of results for Diagnostic Medicine Institute, including critical values for inpatients and outpatients via telephone and other methods of communication, confirms test orders for both common and esoteric test requests, notifies clients of quantity not sufficient, missing specimen or improper collection, requests for additional demographic information, and addresses clients' questions and problems promptly.

  • Responsible for handling complex client service issues that includes client concerns.

  • Maintains proficiency at all call center workstation assignments, provides clients with technical information for those areas trained and approved to include specimen collection protocols, specimen requirements, volumes, and turnaround times, etc.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience (Required)
