Robert Half Finance is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. To thrive in this position, you will need to be driven by a challenging work environment with many components. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role is for someone who wants to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Major responsibilities
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong attention to detail
Microsoft Excel experience desired
Recent and relevant accounting experience
