PURPOSE OF JOB:
The navigation senior product manager is responsible for managing the company’s electro-magnetic navigation platform in the United States. The senior product manager is involved in both up & down-stream marketing of the product portfolio with an emphasis on driving commercial growth. This role requires a diverse skill set working and communicating with a team of medical device professionals across departments. This role will manage the company’s legacy navigation business including the launch and commercialization of a new innovative navigation platform in ENT.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for pricing models and analysis of product portfolio.
Provide knowledge-based product expertise to ensure the company’s commercial team is fully equipped to sell navigation products.
Develop scalable training & education modules.
Visit & collect customer feedback from the field on navigation products – including competition.
Gather field-based data and information requested by the company to build out customer profiles and improve the companies understanding of customer demands.
Provide reports and analysis to management supporting the business line & suggested direction.
Bachelor’s degree in either Economics or Engineering.
Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the medical device industry.
Experience in ENT preferred.
Understanding of capital equipment and software interfaces preferred.
Healthcare background or experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Must be able to prioritize and manage time proficiently.
Able to complete tasks independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
Must be technologically sound with computers and software.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS, VISUAL ACUITY, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Activity - Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Physical Requirements Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently or constantly to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including product inventory. Job requires air & vehicle travel obligations which must be reasonably managed and performed by employee.
Visual Acuity - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal & monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions – Individual will be required to interact with healthcare professionals from time to time visiting customer accounts in the field. The individual will be required to interact and cooperate with a commercial team to meet corporate goals and objectives.
Travel Requirements – The individual must be comfortable and willing to travel to locations to perform product management duties & job responsibilities. Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time to meet job requirements.
