In this role, we are looking for a bright, energetic individual with high attention to detail, excellent follow-through and focus on tasks and responsibilities to provide business development results to our Diagnostics team of professional engineers and technicians. In this position, the qualified individual will be called upon to complete the following tasks:
Work with Sales & Marketing Team to development of the Annual Marketing and Business Development Budget for local offices with input from other leaders within the group.
Respond to customers’ requests for Proposal/RFQs and communicate with key internal stakeholders to ensure opportunity deadlines are met.
Coordination of positioning activities.
Business development reporting activities through various software and systems.
Project data gathering and organizational activities.
Market research activities.
Event coordination and willingness to travel regionally or to national conferences as needed.
Coordinate business development activities and pursuits with the other service groups.
Development of select new clients – using prospecting, networking and community-based activities.
Maintenance of existing clients – including gathering client feedback.
Generate Business for the organization with a focus on the Diagnostics group.
Marketing of select current IDIQ’s to existing clients.
Active participation in key organizations that helps advance our strategic goals.
Gathering market intelligence about locations that we have a current presence.
Prepare monthly reports of client contacts and action items.
In this position, the individual will be required to work closely with a team of Engineers, Architects, and other Forensics experts. A willingness to work in a team environment, following the standards we have in place is a must. A “can-do”, customer-service attitude is crucial.
Minimum 2-3 years or experience in business development, marketing or engineering with industry-specific experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree – Architecture, Engineering, Marketing or Business required.
Proven expertise and prior experience with client & business development functions.
Motivated self-starter with good follow through on business development plans.
Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite, and power user level expertise in using resource planning and financial software.
Excellent organizational and overall communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks.
Team player with the ability to work with the internal partners and service groups within the firm.
