Pyramid Healthcare Medical Doctor - Per Diem in Dallas, Pennsylvania

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

  • Administer history and physicals, review labs, monitor detox continued stays daily, monitor blood levels, sick call and preparing discharges (scripts etc.).

  • Provides support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed.

  • Responsibilities to the group homes and half way houses for history and physicals as needed to stay in compliance with the regulations.

  • Coordination with the outpatient providers in this area to meet MA guidelines.

  • Coordination (with the help of the nursing staff) with the primary care physician when appropriate.

  • May require on call coverage as needed.

  • Work with the nursing staff to make sure the medication are cost effective for the client after discharge.

  • Responsibility to aid in the peer review process.

  • Coordinate with the psychiatrist for medication and treatment of the client.

  • Complete required trainings and mandatory training hours.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience:

MD and DO Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Addiction Medicine. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP).
