Texas Capital Bank Head of Business Banking in Dallas-Corporate Headquarters, Texas

Texas Capital Bank is looking for a leader to transform and significantly expand its Business Banking market segment, which targets emerging, dynamic small businesses within our core, attractive, and fast-growing Texas market. The Business Banking segment is a key component of the bank’s strategy to expand our brand presence in our core markets, grow and increase the profitability of our Commercial & Industrial banking franchise, expand the bank’s annuity fee income and granular deposit base, as well as support the bank’s CRA and minority/women-owned business initiatives. As with all our businesses, we look to provide our Business Banking clients with a premier and differentiated client experience, focusing on offering a broad array of banking solutions that establish deep and lasting relationships with small businesses in our target markets - focusing on those likely to continuing growing into TCB’s Middle Market segment. We look to do this by offering attractive, scalable, and easy to use banking solutions that help our clients grow, become more efficient, and make their financial lives easier. We are looking to significantly increase our focus in the Business Banking segment to further solidify our standing as one of the top-tier, mid-size Regional Banks in the US.

The ideal Head of Business Banking will leverage their in-depth industry knowledge, digital banking experience, and contacts to work with the TCB executive team in creating and executing on an innovative, tech-enabled, and efficient client acquisition, on-boarding, and service delivery strategy that compliments the bank’s “branch-lite” model.

  • Work closely with TCB product and other functional partners (I.e. Credit, Treasury, Technology, Client Experience, Compliance, etc.) to develop/refine TCB’s Business Banking strategy, product solutions, and processes to create a differentiated client experience for our target clients

  • Design and execute on an appropriate market coverage plan that leverages digital client acquisition and solution expansion technology and strategies to accelerate/supplement the more traditional disciplined, banker calling efforts.

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a Business Banking sales/Business Development staff based on the agreed upon the Total Addressable Market and agreed upon market coverage plan.

  • Focus on targets and deadlines; Possess a natural disposition to be focused on achieving business goals and metrics.

  • Ability to implement a proactive approach toward managing expenses to ensure a healthy P&L statement.

  • Keep abreast of the latest financial, technology, and banking product innovations, financial markets, and regulations relevant to Business Banking.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, technology, or related field/experience required.

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial banking/FinTech experience required; prior experience in digital banking/transformation preferred

  • Deep knowledge/experience with digital client acquisition processes/solutions, digital on-boarding solutions (I.e. nCino), and industry leading credit scoring solutions.

  • Formal Credit Training (Commercial Credit Certification, or from another bank) desired.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, exciting, collaborative, and transformative environment.

  • Must have excellent intrapersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management, internal committees, and clients.

  • Must be proficient with organizational skills, ability to identify and solve problems/issues, and be able to management multiple workstreams/projects • Proficient in Salesforce, MS Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other software solutions important to success in the Business Banking segment (I.e. nCino, Moody’s Credit Scoring, etc.)
