Facility Greeter / Screener, Cumberland Medical Center, Crossville, TN.

Come Help Our Healthcare Heroes!Do you want to work to stop the spread of COVID-19? Cumberland Medical Center just added over 15 new temporary jobs for Facility Greeters/Screeners, responsible for greeting patients, visitors, and staff at our hospitals and screening all individuals entering a facility for symptoms of COVID-19 and other potential infectious diseases. You'll be asking patients and visitors a series of questions and taking their temperature, as well as documenting information and providing directions and wayfinding information.

For thistemporaryposition, we have avariety of different shifts and hours available to work with your schedule, including full-time, part-time, or per diem hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and we are offering competitive market rate compensation. We're hiring immediately for these positions, with the ability to start in as little as 2 weeks.

For your protection, greeters will be located behind a plexiglass screen, and you'll be provided a face shield and mask to wear during your shifts. We're also following social distancing best practices.


  • Welcome patients and visitors at screening entrances of the facility.

  • Check patient and visitor temperatures using a no-contract thermometer and ensure individuals practice social distancing while waiting to have their temperatures screened.

  • Complete general information (name and destination) and public health screening questions as defined and document results.

  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area

  • Provide directions/hospital wayfinding and other helpful information once screening is complete.

  • Escalates any problems or issues to assigned supervisor

  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually.

  • Shows good customer service skills supporting a positive patient experience, including greeting individuals in a friendly and professional manner and problem solving.

  • Comply with HIPPA policies and regulations and perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.

Licensure Requirement: None, but experience in the healthcare industry is preferred
