Pathways Center’s Care Campus in Newnan, GA has two 24/7 Emergency Receiving Facilities; one for adults and one for children ages 5-17. Attached to the Adult Center is a walk-in/triage clinic where individuals experiencing a behavioral health and/or substance abuse related emergency can voluntarily walk-in to be assessed in order to determine the appropriate level of care needed. Pathways Center’s walk-in clinic also assesses individuals brought to the Care Campus involuntarily for treatment. Pathways Center's Care Campus Centers are short term (2-7 days), medically monitored residential programs, which offer services for a limited duration to stabilize acute psychiatric or behavioral symptoms, evaluate treatment needs, and develop plans to meet the needs of persons served. The centers operate 24 hours per day 7 days per week. TheAdmissions Registered Nurseassesses individuals that come to the walk-in clinic for possible admission to the adult treatment program.. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: * Complete a work up on individuals that come through the walk-in center for treatment to obtain history of medical, social, and/or emotional background and enters into the newly created electronic patient record * Takes the individuals temperature, blood pressure, and other vitals to enter into the patient’s chart * Interviews any family members, as appropriate, to obtain history of medical, social, and/or emotional background * Present and discuss patient assessment information with attending physician team member(s) * If decision is made to admit individual for treatment, the Admissions RN works with the Floor/Unit RN to get a room/bed ready and setup initial treatment protocols as ordered by the physician team member * Works with other walk-in center and unit staff to ensure regular disinfecting and cleaning is completed per established safety protocols * Adheres to universal precautions in all situations to prevent the spread of infection * Actively participates in departmental staff meetings as required to discuss needs, goals, objectives, and outcomes of services, quality assurance, infection control, etc. * Must be willing to cross train as a Floor/Unit RN to understand and learn full cycle treatment process Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND any related professional work experience.
