Responsibilities Req ID: 64042 The Emergency Department Medical Technician (EDT) provides basic direct and indirect patient care as delegated and directed by the professional staff This is accomplished through the job components of patient services, role modeling, quality/resource stewardship and patient advocacy/customer service Education High school graduate or GED Qualification/Skills Experience Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician in hospital emergency department, or equivalent experience preferred Skills The ability to establish effective relationships with health care team members Ability to prioritize and organize tasks Demonstrated self-directness Licensure/Certifications AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Work Schedule 0.8 FTE 32 hours per week 8 Hour Shifts Variable Start Times Shift: Days and Eves Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend SEIU Contract Benefit eligible Location/Community Information The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area gateway to the northern part of the state.
