Product Owner
job summary:
Seeking a Product Owner to join our Columbus, OH client! This is a full time opportunity for someone local to the Columbus area!
Primary Skills:
Work with the Development Team to develop, maintain, and groom the product feature technical backlog.
Oversee the daily sprint process, run standups with the Development Team, and oversee the technical aspects of product delivery.
Work with development teams to obtain estimates, create timelines, and project implementation.
Ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of both technical and business concepts and the ability to translate between the two.
Ability to develop working relationships at all levels and job functions of an organization.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Technical aptitude and a native interest in problem solving.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with internal team members and foster collaboration.
A good sense of initiative with a desire to improve processes and contribute to future product development.
Ability to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast paced environment, respond quickly to changing business needs, maintain attention to detail, and complete quality projects on time.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Facilitate regular calls; document and carry out action items.
Ability to adapt and be flexible while maintaining the appropriate level of control.
Good analytical skills used to identify problems, resolve issues, and report on velocity.
Test features completed by developers and QA before demoing them to the client.
Needs to be detail oriented and make sure to fulfill features listed per scope.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 2 years of Product Management experience
Experience in technical support, project management, technical sales, or consultancy roles
Experience with Project Management software and agile development practices
Proven experience partnering with cross functional teams to deliver for clients
Experience in an Agile delivery model developing and managing a product backlog
Basic proficiency of programming languages and database skills is a plus, such as .NET C#, SQL Server, SQL Management Studio
Scrum Master Certification is a plus
