Product Owner

job summary:

Seeking a Product Owner to join our Columbus, OH client! This is a full time opportunity for someone local to the Columbus area!

Primary Skills:

  • Work with the Development Team to develop, maintain, and groom the product feature technical backlog.

  • Oversee the daily sprint process, run standups with the Development Team, and oversee the technical aspects of product delivery.

  • Work with development teams to obtain estimates, create timelines, and project implementation.

  • Ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of both technical and business concepts and the ability to translate between the two.

  • Ability to develop working relationships at all levels and job functions of an organization.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Technical aptitude and a native interest in problem solving.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with internal team members and foster collaboration.

  • A good sense of initiative with a desire to improve processes and contribute to future product development.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast ¬≠paced environment, respond quickly to changing business needs, maintain attention to detail, and complete quality projects on time.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Facilitate regular calls; document and carry out action items.

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible while maintaining the appropriate level of control.

  • Good analytical skills used to identify problems, resolve issues, and report on velocity.

  • Test features completed by developers and QA before demoing them to the client.

  • Needs to be detail oriented and make sure to fulfill features listed per scope.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of 2 years of Product Management experience

  • Experience in technical support, project management, technical sales, or consultancy roles

  • Experience with Project Management software and agile development practices

  • Proven experience partnering with cross functional teams to deliver for clients

  • Experience in an Agile delivery model developing and managing a product backlog

  • Basic proficiency of programming languages and database skills is a plus, such as .NET C#, SQL Server, SQL Management Studio

  • Scrum Master Certification is a plus
