TekSynap Managed Systems Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our ITES Desktop Support Task Order.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the day-to-day software distribution and support of a DoD Desktop environment.

  • Provides supervision and overarching technical leadership to the desktop support staff, and communicates changes to desktop software, configuration and supporting infrastructure to governemnt management.

  • Keeps current on emerging technologies, recommends architecture and technical process improvements, and develops documentation for maintenance tasks, desktop troubleshooting and installation guides, vulnerability management, operating system configurations, software distribution and reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three (3) years progressive experience managing standardized desktop environments.

  • Ability to work on multiple technically complex tasks simultaneously in a high pressure customer service environment.

  • Proven ability to manage staff to work effectively with end-users, Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff.

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing desktop engineering in accordance with STIG and DISA Secure Host Baseline (SHB) policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

  • Possesses the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.

  • Microsoft MCSD Certification or a Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology field.

  • Top Secret Clearance

  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
