T. Marzetti Company Inventory Control Specialist in Columbus, Ohio
Reconciles daily production reporting for the plant controller. Enters and maintains inventory data and transaction reports to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
Completes daily cycle count and reports results.
Runs location system inventory report, negative inventory report and interplant report for Allen & QB plants.
Deletes and reruns reservations each morning.
Performs adjustments and billing for packaging returns to the warehouse when needed.
Processes, investigates and corrects MITSGUs.
Researches user transactions and the impact made on inventory balances and resolves problem or educates user.
Runs shelf life reports and makes adjustments per QA direction.
Runs and distributes other financial/inventory reports.
Runs and cleans up the loose inventory quantity report.
Performs random checks of inventory as requested.
Performs warehouse supplies count bi-monthly.
Tracks produced drums of product shipped each day.
Generates bills of lading each day.
Researches problems and questions as requested.
Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly inventory transaction reports for the plant.
Maintains current formula files in compliance with QA and R&D requirements in Prism.
Assists in monthly physical inventories, reconciles inventory data, and determines variance.
Assists in gathering information for plant/corporate monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Performs special projects as requested.
Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
Working knowledge of accounting systems and manufacturing processes.
Works primarily in an office environment, with 25% or less time in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as file boxes. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
