Full-time; Benefits Eligible; Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

We are seeking an Engineer Services Coordinator - The Coordinator is responsible for effectively coordinating construction activities managed by NCH as CM. Maintains direct daily contact with contractor/s representatives, foreman and hospital staff affected by construction.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Coordinate project related work with hospital staff, negotiates the impact of construction and promotes safety in occupied areas.

  • Assures compliance with hospital policies related to or impacted by construction activities. Including but not limited to: Pre-Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA), Infection Risk Control Assessment (ICRA), and Interim Life Safety Measures (ISLM).

  • Research and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing system outages/tie-ins.

  • Performs jobsite inspections to assure code compliance and quality control through the use of project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes. Creates lists to correct work.

  • Assists with City/State inspections for all phases of construction.

  • Produces daily logs of projects.

  • Assist Construction Manager in developing and implementing construction procedures, construction documents, standards, etc.

  • Review manpower requirements and productivity relative to meeting current job progress schedules, follow-up for timely delivery of materials to meet established schedules.

  • Performs some carpentry, electrical, and/or mechanical work to support in-house construction.

What Are We Looking For?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Graduate plus 2 year degree in related construction field and/or a minimum 5 years of building construction experience in institutional / commercial / industrial is required.

  • Detailed knowledge of contract documents, drawings and specifications, change procedures, construction and engineering principles.

  • Maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Standing Constantly (67-100%)

  • Talking on phone/in-person Constantly (67-100%)

  • Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Occasionally (0-32%)
