Peraton Corporation Quality Assurance Inspector - Aerospace Manufacturing in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Peraton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to support our Colorado Springs, CO production manufacturing facility, as part of the company's Technology Development and Application (TDA) program.
The Acusil ® production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts. Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.
In this role, your daily responsibilities will include:
Final dimensional and visual inspection of piece parts and bonded assemblies
First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements
To include completion of all forms
Data entry of all inspection results in local database and ERP system
Submittal of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
Attend Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as needed
Provide inputs to MRB team on NCRs submitted
Perform follow-up actions assigned by MRB team
In-process quality checks
Ensure received product meets Purchase Order requirements
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy
Gather all tools due for calibration on a monthly basis
A High School Diploma or GED, and 5+ years of related manufacturing QA experience
5+ years' experience inspecting products in a manufacturing environment
Experience with writing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs; knowledge and experience with PC-DMIS or PowerINSPECT is a plus
Experience with interpretation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance, which requires a US citizen
Technical writing experience
Knowledge of ISO 9001 processes and requirements
Working knowledge of a CAD software package (Fusion 360, Solid Works, Pro E, etc.)
Knowledge of or prior experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement processes is a plus
Strong communication skills
Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act:
The yearly compensation range for this role is: Minimum- $ 52,000 to Maximum- $ 60,000
The successful candidate will be offered a yearly compensation that aligns with their individual skills and experience as it directly relates to the position requirements.
