We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our ColoradoSprings team. The Payroll Coordinator plans and performs all duties relatingto the effective and accurate payment and tracking of all payroll expenses forGoodwill of Colorado. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, haveexperience processing payroll and applying payroll laws and policies asappropriate, and be customer-service driven. The Payroll Coordinator worksunder the general direction and supervision of the Payroll Manager and isfrequently in communication with other departments within Goodwill as well asoutside agencies regarding payroll related matters.QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma, GED or its equivalent is requiredwith bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. Appropriate experience may besubstituted. Basic payroll knowledge, laws, and policies and procedures.Ability to work in a high pace environment with:Technical Skills Required: 10-Key by touch, Typing at least 30 WPM,working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Excel, Wordand Outlook.Excellent customer service skills with basic knowledge of email and phonecommunications. Must have a solid background in applying accounting andpayroll procedures. Computerized payroll system experience in UltiPro andAssure Force is essential to this position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Customer related functions: assist all department managers and executivestaff with any questions related to payroll, payroll procedures orassistance needed in a timely and professional manner.Task related functions-daily, weekly and monthly basis:Complete all payroll data entry duties to include, new hire bank deposit andpay card information, bus pass and uniform deductions, employeegarnishments, and processing verification of employment.Process workflows for involuntary and voluntary terminations as well asdepartment changes within legal compliance guidelines set forth for theorganization.Process and complete instant manual checks and any off-cycle paychecks deemednecessary within the parameters of the defined payroll policies andprocedures.Research and resolve and payroll related issues such as ACH returns, paidtime off errors, bank reconciliations and review of time-card entries anderrors.Assist with the calculations for payroll taxes in a timely manner as needed.Maintain complete confidentiality for all finance, employee records andinformation.Inform the Payroll Manager of cases where any employee records and informationto correct payroll procedures.All other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the Payroll Manager.This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Employee Benefits: Full-time employees enjoy health, dental, and lifeinsurance, as well as short-term disability, vacation, holiday, sickleave and 403 (b) retirement plans.Goodwill is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to employing qualifiedindividuals including those with disabilities, protected veterans andmilitary spouses.Goodwill participates in E-Verify.
