You are passionate about helping governments, NGOs and corporate clients in the energy transition. You want to contribute to decarbonize the building sector and its coupling with other sectors within the overall energy system. You are driven by working with colleagues from different backgrounds to solve complex problems and deliver tangible results in an international environment.
Our areas of work range from designing and evaluating regulatory and non-regulatory energy efficiency and climate policies for the built environment within the overall energy system, for governments and NGOs, supporting manufacturers and utilities in renewing their product/ service portfolio, to hands on conceptions of sustainable buildings and neighborhoods. We aim for excellence in all parts of project execution and rely on an understanding of political, legal, technical and economic frameworks in the built environment. You will develop the corresponding skill-set on mid-term. This expected skill-set is flanked with others like project management, capacity building, international knowledge transfer and a structured approach to presenting ideas in line with client needs.
As consultant you will implement and progressively manage projects. You will be responsible for data gathering and analysis, performing complex calculations & simulations, as well as translating the findings into meaningful conclusions for our clients, report writing and presenting your findings to the team. In this role you will learn, be challenged and develop skills at a fast pace. In addition to hands-on experience, formal training programs will teach you the diverse skills you need to succeed.

You have a University or University of Applied Sciences degree in natural sciences or engineering (e.g. industrial engineer, environmental engineer, physicist) With your academic results you were amongst the best performers. Preferably you’ve also proven interest in economics and already one- or two-years professional experience (incl. internships) in the field of energy and/or climate analysis
You are passionate about climate action, with particular interest in decarbonizing the built environment
You have strong analytical and conceptual skills
You are a strong communicator and have networking skills
Ideally, you have experiences in energy calculation/simulation of buildings (e.g. TRNSYS) and/or R programming
You show a high degree of flexibility and are willing to travel occasionally for work, incl. outside Europe (e.g., to the MENA region);
You are fluent in English, and German (preferably native speaker, at least C1 and willing to improve), knowledge of another language is beneficial.
