As a Mental Health Specialist on our team, and under direct supervision, you will provide child, adolescent, or adult patient support and supervision in a treatment or educational milieu; and assist in the maintenance of a safe, secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness.
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
To be successful in this role you will need:
Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology, social work or related field.
OR Human Services Certification or Registered Counselor Certification and 2 years related patient care experience preferred.
Crisis prevention training, or must acquire within 6 months of employment, required.
BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross or Kootenai Health BLS within 60 days of hire.
Must be able to maintain a sitting position
Typical equipment used in an office job
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
