Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, MBA preferred

  • 7-10 years of Channel Management experience; ideally in a manufacturing environment

  • 5-7 years supervisory experience

  • Effective project management, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of key business measures--sales, gross margin, OM, etc.

  • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite, specially advanced proficiency in Excel skills and working knowledge of Salesforce.com; experience with JD Edwards a plus

  • Possess strong multi-tasking ability as well as ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment

  • Highly comfortable delivering presentations in a small/large group setting internally/externally as well as to all levels of an organization

  • Solid understanding and use of software and analytics to manipulate, analyze and interpret data

  • Ability to identify, manage and lead business improvement projects

What You’ll Do

STANLEY Engineered Fastening is searching for a results-oriented Distribution Channel Manager to lead the development and execution of the Global Industrial distribution channel growth strategy located in Cleveland, OH.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Partner with Regional Sales Leaders to execute key growth programs in regions to ensure success and global alignment of key initiatives

  • Support the development of distribution channel strategies and channel analysis leading to identification of major business building initiatives and management of key channel messages

  • Leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship

  • Synthesize data from a multitude of sources to provide insights and recommendations on customer, channel, and category strategy

  • Support the review and development of pricing strategies and evaluates and approves deviations from standard pricing and supports deal desk review for distribution channel

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering and Operations to understand cost drivers to ensure price proposals are accurate, competitive and aligned with strategic initiatives

  • Work in collaboration with Product Managers to understand marketplace trends impacting price and growth targets including competitive assessment and customer segmentation

  • Partner with Regional Sales Leaders to develop promotions to drive top line growth and product awareness; track program/promotional effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements as required

  • Reports and monitors new business opportunities through to conversion; pulse field sales team on timing and probability of conversion for S&OP purposes

  • Support Regional Sales Leaders in the reporting and analysis of key distribution channel metrics
