Read more at www.dsv.comSUMMARY Primary duty is to classify imported goods and to process complex import transactions, including all related activities, for an assigned base of accounts. Train and advise team members in areas of Customs regulations, classification, and valuation. Work with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent clients' import processes. Communicate changes in regulations, Customs, and other government agency procedures to clients. Alert clients to special areas of concern or to potential problems in the import process. Perform all duties correctly, cost-efficiently, in compliance with Company standards. This position is exempt and typically reports to a licensed Customs Brokerage Manager, Import Operations Manager, or Branch Manager under general supervision.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESClassify import items and notify Customs to determine appropriate import duties.Train and advise team members in areas of Customs regulations, classification and valuation.Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of U.S. Customs regulations, including customs clearance processes, classification and valuation.
